Quigley is another under-ranked US university player ... ranked number three in the US university system this year, runner-up to Steve Johnson in the national championships.
He has played 3 main draw futures matches in the last twelve months (all against decent opposition) and won a set each time.
I saw O'Mara play a set against Alex Ward in the training camp at La Manga and he didn't look out of place (7-5 to Ward if I remember correctly). Wouldn't surprise me to see him picking up some ranking points once the draws thin out a bit. Looks a good player.

Fitzy lost per his tweet: Andrew Fitzpatrick @Fitzmister - Lost 76 64. Some lights out tennis from the dutch guy there. Too good. Straight on for dubs. #schedule
An interesting day. When I arrived O'Mara was on serve in the first set at 5-6, only to drop serve. I thought he would fall away but he upped his game to win the second set. Pretty ding dong in the third but Rodriguez's serve was there at the crucial times and he took the match. But a very good performance from the lad from Arbroath.
In October Tom Burn was whitewashed by Bloomfield, so he must have really rolled his eyes at the draw this time round. The courts looked slightly less fast and Burn produced some controlled steady play. Richard could just not blow him away again. Very close match. Tom was match point in the final tiebreak, but it was Richard who grabbed a narrow win.
Ed Corrie won a very close opening set against Pauffley, who did well here in October. He got ahead in the second and held on to win. The courts seemed a bit too fast for Smethurst who was never really in it against Rice. Toby Martin started slowly against Richard Gabb but turned it round to his clear advatage as the match progressed. Alex Ward was getting creamed 3-0 in the first set when I wrote him off and went for lunch. By the time I got back he was a set up and well in control against Fischer. Maybe I should go to lunch more often!
Interesting to see Marko Djokovic. Good all round player but he went walkabout in the second set against Becker but recovered to win the third. He will face Bloomfield tomorrow, which should be a good match.
