There are some very interesting ties in this week's British Tour. Anna Smith continues her return to competitive tennis and faces Mel South tomorrow. This will be a good measure of where her games is.

In another QF, Fitzy plays Fran Stephenson.

The top seed is Tara, and 13 year old Katie Swan took seven games off her today.

The lower-ranked player won each of the first two QF matches you mentioned:

Mel: "Lost in 3 sets today with some very ugly tennis. am just so happy to be back playing matches & competing. Looking forward to the next 2 weeks"

Fitzy: "Won quarters 1-6 6-1 6-1...needed a while to wake up, was fine when I eventually did. Semis in 45 minutes"

I see Lisa reached the Final for the loss of just 4 games - pretty impressive even if one of the three matches was a retirement!
