L128: (3) Andy Murray WR 3 v Robin Haase (NED) WR 54 (CH 33 last July)
Haase has given Muzz problems in the past, upsetting him in Rotterdam in 2008 and going 2 sets up against him at the US Open in 2011 before Andy came back to win in 5.
The winner of this match will play Sousa or (WC) Smith in R2, with the rest of the potential route looking like:
R3: (25) Mayer
R4: (14) Simon or (18) Dolgopolov (who plays Monfils in R1)
QF: (6) del Potro
SF: (2) Federer
FI: (1) Djokovic
Could be a lot worse!

Andy is first up on RLA arena tonight (midnight GMT). It is supposed to be a hot day so playing at 11:00 local time is probably better than playing mid afternoon.
Murray wins 6-3, 6-1, 6-3. He was in total control throughout and it was as good a performance that you could ask for in the first round.
Poor old David Mrecer on Eurosport kept saying that Murray's likely second round opponent, Joao Sousa, is ranked 130 in the world. In fact he is 100 in the world and Mercer is confusing him with Joao Souza who is 131 in the world (130 last week).

Ruddy Norah, I know Andy is playing tonight but the way the match is described on the BBC as variously 0.00 Tuesday and 0.00 Monday is just not helping. I just don't want any casual follower to miss the match because of this nonsense. I'm just hoping I can stay awake, can you save the 5 setters for later in the tourney please Andy.
And just a passing wish and a thought for Madeline and her family here.
