Yeah that's great. They did well at Wimbledon but can't remember whether it was the semi's they reached?
That she has entered the mixed also indicates that her ankle is not perceived as too vulnerable.
They only got as far as the last 16, losing in two tie-break sets to Colin Fleming and Su-Wei Hsieh. If I remember correctly, Laura didn't get her serve broken once in the Mixed Doubles though.
Robson/Babos match on Court 22 tomorrow is versus Pavlyuchenkova/Safarova. Watson/Erakovic will play Anna-Lena Groenefeld (GER) [9] Kveta Peschke (CZE) [9]. Not an easy match-up, that ... though I thnk Groenefeld/Peschke are a new team, so Ms Watson and colleague may have a chance.
I've seen a few sources saying that Kvitova is struggling big time with the heat, and Thursday is due to be the hottest so far, which may partially explain the short odds on Laura. Unless of course the play indoors in which case I'd expect the odds to go out a bit.

I can't see them playing indoors, unless it is so hot they have to use the extreme heat rule. Yes she suffers from Asthma so when it gets really hot her breathing can become an issue.
Others may (and probably will) disagree, but I think it would be unsporting -- never mind potentially unsafe -- to put a player who suffers from asthma into circumstances which are fairly extreme and would almost certainly debilitate her. I know one could argue "that's life." But the tournament officials have various scheduling options which could reduce the level of heat the players face. If they used one of those options, then they would be putting both players in circumstances where they could play well. If they don't, they are giving one player an advantage over the other. I'd rather see a match of two players playing well, whatever the outcome, then a match where one player won because of the other's illness ... even if the winner were the player I favoured.
If the humidity is low, it shouldn't cause Asthma problems. That's why the use the wet bulb temperature (which is a function of temperature, humidity, pressure and sunlight intensity) as the test, rather than the actual temperature.
Slightly off topic: I know us the Aussies occasionally steal each other's players, but the LTA seem to be trying to go one better and their home page is currently claiming the AO is a British Event!
