RE: Week 3 - Australian Open (women's)

Well I thought the matches were last night. Switched on my laptop about 3.45 am and thought there must have been a rain delay!!!! What a plonker!

A plonker you may be, but top marks for owning up to what you did.  I would have kept that a secret for sure wink.gif

Ah, but you were honest enough to admit that

Does anyone know which courts are televised?

Bet365 have streams from Rod Laver, Hisense, Margaret Court, Show court 2, Show court 3, court 6 and court 8. The other courts aren't available on Bet365 so seem unlikely to be televised. Heather's court (13) is not listed among those with streams.

That's quite a good selection of courts with live coverage. Heather was never going to be on one of these courts though - the one downside of getting such a nice draw but maybe Laura's relatively high profile and Aussie connections might get her onto court 6 or 8 (fingers crossed).

I'll confidently predict that Laura will get on a televised court, a matchup against Oudin is interesting as she also is a well known name, so I say 90% certain.

Sounds like she may be ill - MTO at 2-3* in the 2nd and her temperature and pulse are being taken.

Yes well done hev, I knew she had won that set before it showed up on live score after hearing the loud roar from the British contingent whilst watching the janowics match! Hopefully she can carry the momentum now and win it

Laura's 3rd on (televised) Show Court 3 tomorrow.

The first match on Hev's court tonight finished quickly as Dimitrov muppeted out against Benneteau in straight sets but the women's match between Hev's doubles partner Erakovic and Cornet has been going on for hours - Cornet is serving for the match for the umpteenth time (Marina has served for it a few times too) 7-5 6-7(3) *9-8

Barty takes set 1 from Cibulkova (who had a good week last week - final apart) on merit!!!
Hev's match started too late, as I gotta scoot to work now :(
Good luck.

Various comments from journalists who are watching - Cadantu seems to be coping better with windy conditions and Heather's elbow injury seems to be a problem, but it's not clear whether it's hurting a lot or she's just not confident enough to make full use of it.
