A bit unfortunate for Pervak that the TV scoreboard shows the first 4 letters of the surname.

One channel used to show just the first 3 letters. I used to think how interesting it would be if they ever had to televise a match between Robin Soderling and Mikail Youzhny.....

biggrinbiggrinbiggrin That is really funny.

What is not funny is that I have to  be somewhere where I can't even listen to the radio for much of her match tomorrow

While I love Hevs fighting spirit I think better conditioning or matchplay might be easier in the long run.
Digging yourself out of a bad situation is laudable but I just don't think she should have been there in the first place.

A tough umpire might just refuse a call for the trainer for cramp.

That aside COME ON HEV !!!!

Heather has not really been playing near her best this tourny but I'm pleased that she has done what is needed to grasp the opportunity to beat two players whom she should be beating.
She really will need to play near her best to keep the scoreline against Aga reasonably competitive.

Article about Heather and Marina Erakovic.
http://tvnz.co.nz/tennis-news/doubles-win-could-boost-erakovic-5320189?

"I love playing with Marina, we gel really well together on and off the court," Watson addeD

"We have got a tough first round, but we're both healthy and hopefully we can give it a good go."

Watson said she spoke to Erakovic about that devastating loss to Cornet, who lost 6-3 6-3 to Venus Williams last night, but the Kiwi No 1 didn't want to discuss it"I tried talking to her about it and she said I don't want to talk about it," Watson said

Only 27c at the moment for the start of Heather's doubles match - not due to get really hot until late afternoon (toward the end of Andy's match)

Laura 2-3*

She's simply not moving her feet or anticipating......how many shots has she been late on? I've lost count. Nerves, mobility or both?

Now 2-5*

This reminds me of Laura 2 years ago. 1 fantastic shot followed by lots of double faults, and unforced errors from being too slow to the ball. Come on!!

The quality level has been consistently awful throughout. As I write, another DF from Kvitova, number 15!

Yet another Kvitova meltdown. Now *3-4 final set. The ONLY thing positive about either player is Robson's return of serve.

Following this on bet365, Laura is still only given a 25-30% chance but the odds changed 3 times in the break between the last two games and Laura's odds came in fast, implying money was piling in on her.

Like watching Lisicki at her scatter-gun worst playing Hantuchova during one of her meltdowns.
This would be so exciting if you watched just the live scores - just the pictures that ruin it.

Which is exactly what I am doing.  Nervous as anything now as Laura serves for the match.
