I have work this year sadly. I will go and watch Andy play at least once. I have every year since he beat chela.
Was at the final when he lost to Novak the other year.
I see what happens when the draw is filled with the qua lies if the guys make it. If I'm lucky i may get to see Andy, one of Laura and heather and hope one of Jamie and James.
I was at the match when Jamie played karlovic in the first round, andys mum and brother and a couple of friends was also there. Was just before Andy lost to tsonga in the first round.
congrats, jamie, anyone else thinking davis cup team for russia of murray, baker, fleming, murray (not that i am being biased or anything being from the north :D

Play started around 90 minutes ago but Jamie is second on on his court (could be on fairly soon) and James is third on his court.
A bonus for those of you who weren't up early this morning - footage of most of Jamie Baker's 3rd set v Donald Young can be found on youtube at http://bit.ly/ZGxh0a - or just the final game from 4:38:37 and the post-match interview from 4:44:11

Great result for Jamie and not a bad R1 draw. Pretty poor from Wardy.
IMHO that's a little bit unfair on Wardy.
I felt Jamie might have a better chance than James in the FQR. Reister's ranking doesnt do justice to his playing record (presume he's been dealing with injuries).
Wardy's ranking doesn't do justice to his playing ability either (partly due to injuries) and most of Reister's best results have come on clay. I didn't expect this match to be a walk in the park but it is the kind of match that Wardy needs to be winning.

It is exactly 5 years to the day (thanks to there being 2 leap days in the intervening period) since Jamie beat mad Dani to qualify the last time he played AO Q. One set away from doing it again ...

Really hope that Jamie tightens his game up for this third set....pulling for him anyway, but also don't like Young....not sure why, maybe because he was so hyped and pushed over here in the States way before he did anything. I remember him being ranked super low and yet getting a wild card at Indian Wells to be destroyed by Tim Henman....he also used to have such an attitude on the court....so two reasons that I'd love to see Jamie win this set....
