Well executed serve dominated doubles for the first 8 games with no break points. At 4-4 30-30 Polasek concedes a foot fault on a first serve that would have won the point and then foot faults again at 30-40 on second serve. Soares has 40-0 in the next game but Polasek/Knowle out of nowhere start making some returns and break back.

Indeed! Nice to be in a final before the AO. Apart from the preparation, that's his Sydney and at least part of his AO points defended right there.

Just read the (Independent) interview with Mr Hutchins, in which he talks about how supportive Mr Fleming has been and expresses the hope that Mr Fleming will keep up his ranking and that he (RH) will recover well and be able to rejoin their pairing without too much delay. They both seem really lovely people. Hope Mr Fleming does well both for his sake and for Mr Hutchins' ... and that a recovered and renewed team is indeed winning Grand Slams together before too long.
