Very good performance from Kyle - Crivoi's ranking clearly understated, and a clay specialist
1. His first tournament in 2012 was mid March, so there's no points at all for January and February.
2. He could be the ultimate clay court specialist from his choice of tournaments, all year long
3. Many wins on clay against top 200 players and many tight losses.
4. He won 2 15ks in a row to complete 2012, before retiring injured in the opening round of his final match of the year.
Frustrating to win 5 matches and 11 sets for one lonely ranking point, with the prospect of needing to win another 5 matches to gain 1 more point, starting with no break tomorrow morning. Ironically if he'd won today, would have had to miss next weeks tournament anyway. I hope they are all learning loads out there.
A very convincing way to end Quintero's 7-match winning streak - good stuff from the Bogster Now can he prevent a double Brit-bash from a former top 100 player ...
