4 breaks at the start of the third set then KB holds to 15 for *2-3

Heather did much better on 2nd serve during the 2nd set but in the third she's struggling, winning just 2/10 as she is broken having had game point 2-4*

HW breaks again for *3-4

0-30 15-30 15-40 30-40 broken 3-5* too many missed first serves in that game

30-0 30-40 40-40 A- df on mp 40-40 A- 40-40 A- KB wins 

Bertens wins 6-4 3-6 6-3 

Heather seemed to do ok on first serve but struggled on 2nd serve in the first and third sets and perhaps should done a better job of saving bps. KB contributed 9 dfs to HW's 2 yet still managed to win a higher percentage on 2nd serve.

 Agree but in hindsight choosing to play in cold Shenzhen is useless preparation for the Aus Open. At least the court conditions in Auckland appear to be fairly similar to those in Brisbane (looking at the streams of various matches this week) and hopefully Melbourne too. Heather can reflect on her performance and adjust accordingly; perhaps look for more penetration on her 2nd serve for instance. Shenzhen was quite comical in the way the players were dressed for their matches.

KB saving 4/5 bps seems to be the difference between the players.

dont see bertens as ever being much more than a competent mid rank top 100er
