L32: Heather Watson WR 49 beat (5) Sorana Cirstea (ROU) WR 27 (CH 23 in 2009) by 6-3 ret.

L16: Heather Watson WR 49 v Kiki Bertens (NED) WR 63 (CH 57 in Oct)

Bertens thrashed Hev 2 & 1 in Luxembourg qualifying in 2011, which I seem to remember being a bit of a shock even back then. Hopefully it will go better here. If Laura makes it GB superkids 3 ROU 0 this week later on tonight, Hev will need to win this one to remain GB no. 1.

About 02.00 GMT, I think - NZ is 13 hours ahead of us in our winter/their summer (11 hours in our summer/their winter)

HW had bp but KB saved then held, then broke to 15

Heather winning just 1/9 on 2nd serve right now 4-5*

Been watching some of Larsson v Goerges on the main court, the conditions in Auckland seem quite fast, players getting full value for aggressive shots that find the target.
