You are indeed missing something. The Preston list still contains several players who will withdraw. The withdrawal deadline was 14:00 on Tuesday but the ITF site hasn't been updated. Once it is the field will be similar strength to Glasgow.

It has now been updated (overnight) and there have been numerous other withdrawals.  Fitzy - for example - was 6th on the qualifying list last night and is now 16 in the main draw.

If you are on the ITF website looking at the acceptance list, you can click on the "Factsheet" tab and that gives you the Entry and Withdrawal Deadline dates.
