I've never understood why the Brits don't play Noumea chally, they always go for ATP qualifying instead. They need to be in that part of the world for Aus Open qualies the week after, so why not Noumea?
I've always assumed Noumea was one of those "one flight in and out a week" jobs so doesn't suit the sudden need to fly away if you lose early or get away on schedule if you go deep. I've no idea if I'm right.
I know Alex played there a few times, although never with much success from what I can recall. I assume it may not be the easiest place to reach, and possibly costly which is why its often skipped.
Speaking of Alex I understand he plans to play a few of the early season clay Florida futures again to get some match practice in, but ideally not many futures after that. There is no future in futures really.

Dang it, I always have to check when people say things like that!
At least one flight to/from Sydney every day, even over Christmas it seems. Also 3+ flights to Tokyo a week, and supplmementary other Oceanic routes and islands (Papeete, Tahiti for example)
Jonny planning on playing with Andre Sa for the foreseeable future. Sa can't play the first week because it's his daughters birthday. Sa's ranking is 57 and they need get it down to about 40 to get into the Masters events.
Anne K is in Shenzhen qualifying (source TennisForum). JoKo would be inside the cut for Brisbane qualifying if she has entered as Rezai (169) is last in at the moment.

Seagull. I haven't seen anything confirming it, but JoKo spoke on twitter about heading off to Brisbane Australia, so I assume she must be in qualifying for the big WTA event there in week 1, starting just after Christmas.
