What's the difference between the legends and the champions?

Please can someone tell me the difference between a legend and a champion at the Albert Hall this week.

They have legends as:-

McEnroe
Lendl
Bates
Cash
Wilander
Leconte

and champions as:-

Henman
Ivanisevic
Enqvist
Moya
Philippoussis
Santoro

I can't make any sense of it.

It looks like the champions are under 45 and the legends are over 45.

For legends, you add another 0 to the end of the appearance fee smile
