RE: Week 46 - ITF ($25K) - Zawada, Poland - Carpet

L16: Lisa Whybourn WR 299 lost to Polina Pekhova (BLR) WR 304 (CH 287 in July) by 6-2 6-7(3) 6-4

That's from the tournament site, since the tweets after the one from Naomi that I imported above contain only fruit references!

Nathii: "Lisa Whybourn is buying bananas @GBtennis ouch..."

Lisa: "@TAlternative @gbtennis errrrm that was @NaomiBroady"

(I doubt Lisa was following Tennis Alternative, though who knows, so not quite sure how she saw that ... but the even weirder thing is that Nathii must have just been watching Lisa on court - clearly all tall, athletic blondes look the same to her unless they are tall, athletic, blond ATP players LOL)

Nathii: "@lisawhybourn @GBtennis @NaomiBroady hahaha sorry =) I am ATP specialist, hopefully she enjoys the bananas. Good luck in your next ITF, Lisa"

Naomi lost the 1st set and it then got to 3-3 in the 2nd. Nathii takes up the story:

Kania 4-3* but she gets easily angry and swears. Far from over.

Broady on serve, 0-30, hits out fh, 0-40 (in fact, it was 15-40, but never mind)

This way or another, Kania serves for the match at 5-3. Naomi looked resigned after first 2 points in the previous game. But now 0-15

Kania serves for the match, 0-40 #lol

Banana Naomi breaks back (to 30), Kania 5-4*

very long rally, mp Kania

"gsm Kania. controversial last call, most people say it was wide from Paula. Naomi Broady to umpire "You just want to go home?"

"2nd set was very intense, sad both couldnt get through"

L16: Naomi Broady WR 278 lost to (3) Paula Kania (POL) WR 214 by 0 & 4

Re. the last one, what a difference 10 months makes (Naomi beaten Kania 2 & 0 early this year), but as you'll have gathered from Nathii's tweets, she was very competitive in the 2nd set.
