Marcus leads the (Challs & Futs) H2H 3-1 but his lead comes from 2 wins in 2009. Their more recent meetings were on grass in successive weeks around Wimbledon time last year - two close matches with one win each.

Alex won the battle of the Brits and plays his doubles partner in the semis. They haven't met in singles before but Escoffier lost to Lewis 2 weeks ago and beat Marcus last week, both in 3 sets.

Alex lost the first 2 games of the Final, but won 12 of the next 14, so ...
FINAL: (1) Alex Ward WR 436 beat (4) Mikhail Fufygin (RUS) WR 534 (CH 484 in Apr) by 3 & 1
This is the 3rd Futures singles title of his career (his first for exactly a year), and he has won it without dropping a set
It means that with a 10-2 record in Thai 10Ks this month, Alex has managed to make up 26 of the 27 points due to come off from his last Futures title on Monday week.
