Verry well done to katie  smile 

With respect to Fitzy's loss to Adam yesterday, she does seem to have had a generally pretty poor year compared to what she has been capable of in the past with occasional more promising looking efforts against higher ranked players.

I know she has been held back by injury in the past, but she has played a pretty full season and she was someone that I expected maybe to push on rather than go the other way cry

All three opponents have a bit of pedigree. Voracova was ranked in the top 100 in recent years. Lemoine defeated Laura the year she tried to defend her junior Wimbledon title. Whilst Kimmelman, less impressively, has had some decent form in 10ks this year winning one and reaching the final of another.

Jade has lost 3 & 1 ... not unexpected, after all Voracova shoudn't really be playing 10Ks!

Fran went a break up in the 2nd set but has since been broken back 6-4 *2-3

Set 2 in Katie's match went with serve to 2-2. Katie then broke, got broken back in the next game and has now broken again! 3-6 *4-3

Fran's match. 1-1 in the third set with 2 hours and 23 minutes already on the clock. Surely this is a "last woman standing" match - fitness decides the winner.

Jade has just broken back to trail *1-2, Fran leads 3-0 and Katie is still in the first game. However, there have been 26 points in that game so far!

Katie won the first game of her match eventually, after 28 points. She then broke to lead 2-0 but has since been pegged back to *3-3.

Fran leads *5-2 and Jade trails *2-5

Fran took the first set 6-4, but Jade lost 3-6 1-6.

Katie having a real good go. The first set comprised of 86 points and there's almost 50 already in set 2

Yes, 12 of the 19 games went to deuce and taking out the points in the games that didn't from the total number of points, I think there were 33 deuces in the match!
