I think last week took alot out of Liam so maybe that was a factor today. Great win for Kyle but unfortunately he has the unenviable task of having to take on the French top seed as he is in his section of the draw.
Interesting article on the BBC website about up and coming players and the influence of Andy Murray by Piers Newberry and his interview with Leon Smith who is currently in Florida, following the progress of Liam, Luke and Kyle as they try and build their careers.

First things first. Let's get another toughish looking match against the number 7 seed won! I think we are all confident about it, which alone says a lot about how Kyle is perceived, and how well he is playing. Don't want to jinx him, so I'll leave it there.
Ryan Thacher is another of the underranked 2012 university graduates, played at Stanford and was one of the top-ranked in the country. He wasn't going to be an easy opponent.
It does suggest that the one guy that beat him in these 11 matches, Liam quite convincingly last week, is in pretty good nick too ( as he has shown in other recent performances too ), even if Liam didn't follow on as well as he would have no doubt liked this week.

as much as we are almost expecting another kyle win today, remember he has only ever won one QF before at futures, so still a big match for him, very hopefull myself and would be keen to see the winners of the first two tournaments to meet in the semi's, to see exactly where kyle's at!
