That was my one and only visit to Wimbledon and that match made it worth it !

The first time I looked, Emily was *4-5 15-30 against Isayan - she is now serving for the 1st set *6-5 up

7-5 to Emily - that's 5/6 sets she has played so far this week that have gone past 5-5! (she has also won 5/6 sets too )

QF: (1) Emily Webley-Smith WR 450 beat Karina Isayan (RUS) WR 668 (= CH) by 5 & 4

This is the first time Emily has made a singles SF this year, though she has mainly been playing 25Ks rather than 10Ks which makes it less surprising.

SF: (1) Emily Webley-Smith WR 450 v (WC) Rebecca Peterson (SWE) UNR

Peterson is a top 50 junior who has had a WTA ranking before but is having by far her best week in seniors so far.

Roma beat 2nd seed Melander (another member of the Swedish FC squad v GB, if I remember right) today, also 7-5 in the 3rd. She won a 10K in Tampere in July but this is only her 2nd ITF since then. Amanda Carreras thrashed her 1 & 2 in Ystad in June and Eleanor Dean beat her in R2 here last year then in R1 the following week!
