Evan Hoyt bolsters the male presence in Japan for the penultimate Grade A of the year, and will need to find his Glasgow form early as he has been drawn against a fast rising Aussie, succesful in all his 4 ITF matches against Brits. Alex Sendegeya has a tough draw against the sixth seed.

Alexander Sendegeya (GBR) v (6) Anton Desyatnik (RUS)
With our girls having the day off, mainly because they were involved in the latter stages of the Grade 2, the focus today was on the boys. Evan's gamble of playing in Glasgow rather than Japan last week didn't pay off, and they suffered a wipeout. Evan has the chance of success in the doubles though, where he is top seeded with Nikola Milojevic (the two were at one time ranked 1 and 2 in the under 14s)

Doubles finalists in both boy's and girl's events:
SF: Omar JASIKA (AUS) / Nick KYRGIOS (AUS) [4] 6-0 6-4 Michael MMOH (USA) / Tommy MYLNIKOV (CAN) SF: Borna CORIC (CRO) / Alexander SENDEGEYA (GBR) [8] 4-6 6-4 [10-3] Chun Hun WONG (HKG) / Pak Long YEUNG (HKG)
F: Borna CORIC (CRO) / Alexander SENDEGEYA (GBR) [8] vs Omar JASIKA (AUS) / Nick KYRGIOS (AUS) [4]
A surprise and welcome Grade A title (especially considering the Aussies' imperious form) after the complete wipeout in singles. It's Alex's 4th and biggest doubles title this year, moving him inside 150 as the top ranked 1996 (Peter Ashley has fallen, having lost points from a successful trip to south-east Asia last year)
