The inevitable has finally happened.

Annika Beck has reached the final in Ismaning, and so, whether she wins the title or not, will shortly become the youngest player in the top 100. Deposing the now positively ancient and decrepit seeming Laura for that title

Beck is 26 days younger.

Bah, Laura will be the youngest in the top 1 less than whatever ranking Beck moves up to.

They're all coming through. Barty just won a 25k, keys just won a 50k, beck just won a 75k, and puig just won a 100k.

Yes, the ranks of the next generation are already massing.
I was looking at all those in anticipation this morning
In her $50K, Madison Keys beat another of them, Bouchard.

Also, Donna Vekic is entered in to, and will be seeded in, the $125K points bonanza in Pune next week - the field overall is weaker than the Barnstaple $75K, the points rewards are about +50% per round.

Though, if Serena keeps up her form and determination like in the second half of this year, it may be the generation after them that has the best chance
