A pity, but Ashley will still rise over 1000 places in the rankings on Monday week!

A bit sad that Knittel managed to win the title though when he was outnumbered 7 to 1 by Brits in the QFs!

Ash finding Knittel a tougher proposition unsurprisingly, losing the first set 6-2

That's the first set Ashley has lost in his 7 matches this week (this is his 5th in the main draw and he won 2 more matches to qualify) - he has broken in the 2nd though 2-6 3-1*

The German broke twice in the next 3 service games to win the match 6-2 6-4
