Yes, Josh is the highest-ranked unseeded player based on the rankings used for seeding.
At least they're not in the same half of the draw as Krajicek, though with Zverev in their quarter (he reached the Final of the Sacramento Challenger 2 weeks ago, losing to Flake and then the Final of the Tiburon Challenger last week, losing to Sock), that's unlikely to be much consolation.

L32: Ed Corrie WR 506 v Nicolas Meister (USA) WR 541 L32: (5) Dan Smethurst WR 371 v Josh Milton WR 425 (H2H 2-3, but 1-0 this year)
The winners meet in R2 with the winner of that match likely to face top seed and former top 50 player Mischa Zverev in the QFs. One of the worst draws ever for a tournament with 3 Brits in it?

So if Meister cooperates it is likely to be a haul of 0, 1 and 3 points and if he is a real pain 0, 0 and 1 point. I presume Josh was amost seeded too ! Cheers, drawmasters !
( must remember what I usually say about draws, that they generally even themselves out in the long run, err I think )
Btw the winner of that R2 match will be the 11th Brit to make a Futures singles QF this week! (together with 7 in Glasgow, 2 in Doha and Slabba in Algeria)
Having said that, 11 Brits were seeded to reach QFs this week - Ashley Hewitt and the winner of the match above are the non-seeds making QFs, while Dan S and Toby Martin are the seeded Brits who went out early.
