A very tight 1st set here, with one break each in the first 10 games, but Alex has just broken again and will serve for the set *6-5

Alex had a good win in the doubles yesterday & has every chance of reaching the quarters:

R1:  Romano Frantzen (NED) & Alex Ward WR 1923 defeated (2) Micke Kontinen & Timo Nieminen (FIN/FIN) WR 1124 by 6-1 5-7 [10-3] biggrin

They almost had me wishing I'd kept my big mouth shut after they threw away a lead in the second set & almost did so in the first, not to mention an early lead in the MTB!
