Good win, against an opponent who was in the Top 50 from the start of the year until Wimbledon. A very even match overall, Heather's ability to create and take break points being pehaps the decisive factor: Heather BP conv 3/10, Polona 1/1. Quite an impressive performance from Heather, served consistently, and effectively (winning 69% of 62% 1st serves), and eventually found a way to get a foothold in her opponents service games.
The match to determine her R2 opponent doesn't take place until tomorrow.
Laura is 2nd on after 3 am GMT tomorrow, as is the match to decide whether Hev will next play 6th seed Medina Garrigues or get a very quick chance of revenge for last week's FQR defeat to Giorgi.

Laura's R1 singles is second up on Court 1 tomorrow. The programme starts at 03:00 UK time, so probably on court about ~04:30.
Heathers R1 doubles is fourth up on centre court tomorrow, the schedule again starting at 03:00 UK time. Despite featuring Kimiko I don't think it will be streamed. As far as I can ascertain, there doesn't seem to be planned TV coverage until Thursday.
Good stuff Hev! One more win will guarantee a new CH ranking.
I actually think she's already there by a place, but contingent on results in Linz - how Flipkens does (needs to qualify and win a round), or Rus beating Azarenka (barring a RET, that's not gonna happen!). Another win removes any doubt.
Just to get miles ahead of ourselves here, before she even plays a match, but Laura's quarter of the draw just opened up even more, as Kai-Chen Chang beat Christina McHale in straight sets.
That's a very good win, seemed that at the end of each set she was able to raise her level to win the important games, maybe she prefers Japan to China. All the matches up to the final are winnable if she can play her best tennis but at the same time very tough.

McHale has been out for a long time with a virus picked up shortly after the Olympics so clearly well below her best and with her negative H2H against Laura would have been very positive about that potential matchup anyway.

I was wondering if there would be TV coverage, as last year not even the final was streamed, also looked on Bet365 streaming schedule and there is nothing listed on there.
I can't stand the original of this and can't work out how on earth iot has become so popular, but this take on 'gangnam style' by Laura and best mate Genie Bouchard, with a little help from their friends (especially Heather) is hilarious - http://youtu.be/5gGfIwM38xI
Agreed, with all of that
Very impressive guest performers they persuaded to take part/humiliate themselves* (*Delete as applicable)
