R1: ROBSON, Laura (GBR) Q 57 v DATE-KRUMM, Kimko (JPN) WC 107
An interesting match-up between the Laura, the youngest member of the top hundred, against Kimko who was until recently the oldest member of the top hundred.
Does look a pity for Heather that Errani lost. Hope she doesn't get more frustrated. And don't know circumstances and that it would have happened whoever she was playing.
Speaking of getting frustrated, I recall that after Heather lost it a bit at the end of a match with Christina McHale last year she came out and said she wasn't going to let anything like that happen again, and "bad Heather" was going to be a thing of the past. She said that she wouldn't let things get on top of her and we'd only see "good Heather" from now on. Not that most of us ever thought she had been generally particularly bad at all, and I think more just smiled than anything.
But lately "bad Heather" has returned more than I ever recall with quite a number of racquets bearing witness to this. Seems to be getting maybe rather too easily frustrated and I'm not sure that it helps her.

Fascinating match-up for Laura - up-and-comer against old stager.Date-Krumm has been a nemesis for the Brits since the days of Jo Durie and beat Laura a couple of years ago (in Osaka if I remember) but I reckon Laura can get some revenge here.
Didn't she beat Katie too, at possibly the last Wimbledon Katie ever played ? And then went on to have quite an amazing match with Venus Williams which she ultimately lost. (sorry, tennis rambling..........)
