'"I'm feeling confident when I play at the moment. Even when I'm not playing my best like I was today I still feel that I am able to win matches," Robson told AFP.
She added: "I was a double-break down in the first set and I knew I had to get a lot better and start moving my feet a bit more.
"She's a tough opponent to play against because she hits the ball very low so you have to bend your legs a lot more than I like to."
Does anybody know heathers schedule for the rest of the season? She can surely reach a new CH by the end of the year and finish the season on a high.
Both Heather and Laura go to Osaka next week - beyond that I don't know.
Don't think either plan to play anymore after Osaka. Long offseason for the WTA.
Yes not much left in the year now. I don't expect the Barnstaple $75K is of any interest to them now really. But Heather may want to try to end on a high, and Laura might want to exploit her good form before chances run out this year, so for both, Luxembourg & Moscow might be outside possibilities - particularly Moscow. Luxembourg too soon after Asian swing probably.
In Osaka Laura has a chance of receiving her first (I think) WTA MD seeding. Erakovic is currently #8 there, and Laura would now be higher ranked. Also, Marina may not play there anyway, as I don't think she's recovered from injury yet: she's not playing in Beijing.
Laura is on an outside court again tomorrow, Court 4. For some reason her match start time is listed as 'Not before 1:30 pm' (6:30 am UK time), despite being first match on. Does that mean it's a case of Laura and LDL turning up when they feel like it?
Despite this being a match between WR 60 & WR 64, Laura is 5/1 on to win (on Bet365).

Just read through the whole of this thread as my internet is down at the mo, so only just caught up. Proud of Robbo, and thanks to all you guys for the match replorts especially JC and IF. There are a few 'reports' mentioned, please can someone post links to them.
Hope Hev isn't too down, and that we find out why she's had a bad run here.

Strange that, but at least we're certain of the starting time or maybe not.
Yep until Laura has a run of poor form, the bookies are going to continue to assume she's already a top 20 player.
Read that she was straight onto the practice court after her match against Date to work on her movement. That went well so she's expecting to play alot better against LDL.

I think it's a case of making sure the court is cleared of spectators before the match can start (see photo).
It may be that Laura's court has been allocated in the morning for a sponsors event or for a promotional event with kids, and with uncertainty over the finish time of the event they have given a not before time, rather than the usual precise time for first matches on court
Totally outplayed by LDL. Didn't expect that at all. Points won behind first serve were weird 12/15 at the start of the match then 11/28 for the rest of the contest.

Well, the manner of that defeat was pretty sobering.
Got more in to the match in the second half of the second set. As a result of a cluster of BP's in one game, actually crept up to half LDL's BP opportunities in the match, but the total of chances is very representative of the match, as Laura never had any sort of control. *Edited this Paragraph*
A reminder to keep some perspective about things.
Still, next week in Osaka, one win could see her break in to the Top 50, and that would still be a fine end to the year.
The lesson is there from today though that there's still a lot of work to do.
