RE: Week 39 - ITF ($25K) - Clermond-Ferrand, France Hard

Impressive efforts from all the girls here so far. Hopefully (at least) one of them can go deep into the tournament.

After the inital very good win, another week where Tara fails to maximise the potenital return of it. Similar to how after Kazan she underperformed in the far east, somewhat squandering her new entitlements to seedings out there.
But, still, she is on the up, just not as quickly as she could be if she could just find her form from R1 here consistently.
Has lots of points to defend before year is through too, so got to make most of every opportunity.

Samantha *3-1

Sam was 40-15 up when I looked, got pulled back to deuce but then won the next two points.

Tara is 6-3 3-0 down.

For iPhone users out there, there is a free live scores app for this event.

Search for tennis-ticker.

Excellent, thanks - it seems even easier to use than the web version, in the sense that there's a menu by country at the start. The LTA are getting well behind the curve by not using this software yet.

Steven, I see you're following tennis ticker on Twitter. Maybe a nudge to British Tennis might help.

Tara has retrieved both breaks. The second from 40-0 down. 3-3.

I didn't realise I was because I don't remember seeing any tweets from them - turns out that's because they haven't tweeted since August 2010. A bit odd, you'd think that would be the ideal way for them to flag tournaments using their software as they happen.

I'm pretty sure I've given the LTA a nudge before - the problem is knowing who's the right person to nudge there!

Takes the 2nd 6 - 4

Brilliant. Scores looked really gloomy when I first checked in and then she just seemed to turn it round.
