Nice to see how gracious Miss Sharapova was in victory against Hev. Not.
I'm a bit mixed on that one. The commentators said pity Heather didn't get a mention, well OK maybe but I am sure she didn't want patronised, I guess as well as Maria saying she hadn't played at her best, which is true, she could have said but Heather ddn't help by playing very well ( which has apparently also been true, I just saw the end ). No biggee. Heather knows how well she played.

I hope Heather wouldn't feel patronised after putting 3 hours of solid effort into trying to beat a player ranked #2 in the World; I just think it would have been good manners. I'm all for magnanimity - in victory or defeat. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate your viewpoint

Searching for tennis courts. I reckon there's about 1 court per 25,000 people in our wonderful borough :(
Heather just needs to play her game, hopefully serve like she did yesterday and hope Sharapova has an off day, which there is always a chance of especially away from the grand slams.
Heather will certainly be pleased so far. The errors are coming from Sharapova, which Heather will need, but she has also been really solid in those two games and hit to a good length
