When the top 48 make up 3/4 of the field, getting #31 in R1 isn't a bad draw, it's just average.
Yeah I'm not sure exactly what the matter is with Lisicki but she is clearly a top 15/20 player when not injured and since the top 8 all have byes, Lisicki is certainly not a good draw by any definition. If she is still struggling though Heather is a nightmare draw for her since shes not massively consistent even when fully fit. Fingers crossed!
Big shame Laura couldnt be here. I know getting a SE isnt possible, but its pretty poor motivation for players around Lauras ranking to play well the week before a big event!
I was a bit confused though in that it was very judgemental at times without any description of actual shots. Was there a stream or just radio or what
Sincere apologies for giving that impression, I meant no offence. It was impressions from the protennis.com live score only.
Fairly clearly I don't really know what I'm talking about
So, I promise it won't happen again.
Oh please don't stop. I really appreciate your commentaries.
Oh agreed, I appreciate your commentaries, day and night. I was just fascinated at how ugly one could work out a tennis match to be from the scores
Sorry, I am probably being a bit naughty. But there was one occasion when someone who will remain nameless brought such life to a commentary that I was later genuinely awestruck to find out that they'ed only had live scores.

Really good to see. Hev says "Remember me !" Year-end GB No 1 could still very much be either Laura or Heather
I don't think she's ever been that far away from her best form, having some tough draws and only losing to one player outside the top 40 since Nottingham at the beginning of June, with 3 of these 8 top 40 losses going to three sets. But nice to get a top 40 win

Looks from the stats like a really solid 1st set from Heather 76% first serves in and 76% of those points won. The 'crucial seventh game' was exactly that as Heather recovered from 0-40 to hold for 4-3
