Certainly no shortage of drama in the match - Watson/Rosolska really should have won the first set from such a strong position, but were equally completely out of the second and came back to win. So maybe a set all and match tie-break is a fair outcome!
The way this match is gone this tie break should finish about 22-20 with multiple match points to both sides
A shame to lose after such a good fight, but still another good week of doubles for Heather. I guess she will be heading over to Asia now for Tokyo and Beijing.
At least it adds a gloss to another week for Heather.
Her singles form seems for the most part to rely on drawing a favourable opponent at the moment. If she draws badly, she hasn't yet made that break through.
She's close to my mind, but still struggling to get out of that morale sapping $220K limbo that so many get stuck in - ~40-100 ranked, occasionally win against the odds, sometimes get a good draw and a good run, but can't do it often enough to move up and break out of that zone to the top tier events with regularity. So many hopes from so many nations, just waiting for them to finally solve that puzzle and push on, and so few ever do.
