My apologies if these encounters have already been posted, but I've been away for a a few days & really can't be @rsed to plough through the entire main draw thread, the title of which in any case, without further qualification, implies only the singles. IMHO, it's much more logical & practical anyway to have a separate doubles thread for Grand Slams:
R1: Sabine Lisicki & Shuai Peng (GER/CHN) vs Shara Peer (ISR) & Laura Robson
R1: Marina Erakovic (NZL) & Heather Watson vs (6) Ekatarina Makarova & Elena Vesnina (RUS/RUS)
R1: Anne Keothavong & Anna Tatishvili (GEO) vs (4) Maria Kirilenko & Nadia Petrova (RUS/RUS)
I wonder how ready Laura was for this match after all the excitement of beating Clijsters yesterday. Anyway, I hope they can at least make a better fist of it in the 2nd set.
All over for Laura and Shahar Peer in the doubles, losing 6-0 6-3
Could have been a bit closer had they converted any of 6 break points, but it's hard to be too bothered about Laura in doubles whilst she is still in the sigles draw. Also, if she was going to lose, better that it was quick to conserve energy for Li Na tomorrow.
Heather and Marina will be much more interesting when they get on later given their 100% success so far together

Probably a sign that Laura is a little bit tired, playing as a scratch pair they were major underdogs as well. Lisicki and Peng also both being out of the singles more incentive to do well in doubles.
Only slight worry was that Laura served 5 doubles.
Looks as though Hev & Marina lost by 2-3 retired! I don't want to wish ill on Marina, but I sincerely hope the retirement wasn't as a result of an injury to Hev...
