R2: (14) Colin Fleming & Ross Hutchins vs Brian Baker & Rajeev Ram (USA)
The 4th seeded "bloody Poles" ( Fyrstenberg & Matkowski ), who they were seeded to meet in R3 ( the last 16 ), have been beaten in R1 by the American brothers, Ryan and Christian Harrison.

I suppose that this thread is as good as any to congratulate Ken Skupski on the news that he and his wife Hayley are expecting their first child in March.
Looks like one wants to avoid pairings of Americans. Not only did the Harrisons beat Fyrstenberg and Matkowski, but Donald Young and Monroe beat Llodra/Zimonjic and, somewhat staggeringly, Johnson/Sock beat Nestor/Mirnyi. Be interesting to see what happens when Inglot/Huey (honorary Americans because of their university experiences?) meet Blake and Querrey.
NB: According to the ATP story on doubles for Tuesday, Fleming/Hutchins have the misfortune to be up next against another American pairing that is bound to be a sentimental favourite for many watching -- Brian Baker and Rajeev Ram, who were juniors finalists at Wimbledon together, played the US Open together before Baker's injuries and have now paired up again.
