She must be absolutely gutted right now but hopefully when she looks back, she'll be very proud of her 4 wins here. Also, this isn't a particularly big points round, so you could say she won when it mattered most.

Whether she is even thinking points at all, and yes it is relatively a not great points round, it really should be a relatively much  better points round ( certainly as against the first round ).  The WTA Slam points are just sooo illogical.

Will be played on the fast Louis Armstrong court which probably disadvantages Laura due to her movement. Also first up gives her the least amount of recovery as well.

4-0 for Jo, looking like she can't put a foot wrong so far.

Cant' find a live stream, trying a couple of the usual non-betting sites, only doing the 3 main courts, and 11, 13 and 17, so men's and American others.

Jo's run of consecutive US Open games comes to an end at 10 (across R1 and R2) but she's still in a commanding position in this set.

I suspect it won't be plain sailing the whole way through, but excellent so far.
