Oh, I was just going to say that I think that's a perfectly OK first four rounds  confuse

Yes, Andy has had trouble with Bogomolov before, but he's lost form and it's a Slam, and I think Bambi is overrated and made for Andy.

First part looks good, second not so.
Raonic's grand slam record is poor though.

I'm not sure. I always feel Floppy is dangerous, but I'm not really sure why!

At least he avoids DelPo (I think)

You've got to love Karma. Nalbandian gets Del Potro in the first round.

He hasn't won a match since that incident at Queens, and I dont see that changing here

Great draw if you ask me. He was always going to have to beat Fed and Nole to win so just look at the first 5 match ups and you can't really complain

I think it came down to whether he got the spot he did, or the one that Ferrer has.  And the later looks a much better draw to me at first galnce.

To be honest I don't think the draw matters. If Andy's head is in the right place he will make the Semis, and hopefully beyond, if it isn't he won't.

I think its much better he meet Fed in the Semi's rather than the final.

Pretty sure that everyone said the Olympics draw was super tough and we know how that worked out, although I actually think this draw is pretty kind to Andy. He shouldn't be losing to anyone before the QF in a best of 5 sets.

Perfect scheduling, nicely slotting in between the two girls.
Playing first Monday has to good given he will get an extra rest day or two.

So it looks like his schedule would be as follows.

Mon, Thur*, Sat, Mon, Wed, Sat, Sun

* Could be Wed evening although unlikely

Got to love ( sorry maybe I mean another word ! )  the US Open scheduling !

PS :  Although isn't the final traditionally on a Monday ?    wink

Oh, its much better nowadays than in the past when the second men's semi final was a night match, played after the women's final !

While it may be largely the same now for both players, I would prefer the players to be more rested for the final and in better condition to give of their best in the final.

I don't recall them ever playing a SF on a Saturday night (I could easily be wrong) but I do remember them playing one SF on the Friday night and one on the Saturday afternoon.

As for the players being rested. I undertsand that argument but part of me likes the idea of great touraments offering a unique challenge that isn't faced elsewhere.

I might be wrong too, just seem to have memories ( a while ago now ) of that Saturday schedule and thinking that it was pants.

Re a unique challenge, there is certainly an arguement that the schedule now at least makes the US Open different and I think it is good to have quite distinct slams.
