L16: (4) Oliver Golding WR 507 beat Sebastian Sachs (GER) WR 1210 by 4 & 2
QF: (4) Oliver Golding WR 507 v (7) Sam Barry (IRL) WR 696 (ITF junior H2H 1-1, both in 2010)
Btw Oli and Sam's R2 opponents had R1 matches which were about as different as you could get - Oli's opponent Sachs had won with a double bagel whereas Sam's opponent Lavie had survived a marathon 3-setter 6-7(5) 7-6(14) 7-6(5)!

Slabba's match started today but did not finish. According to the OOP for tomorrow the match is 1 set all with Slabba 1-0 in the third (who served first is unknown).
Both are unbeaten in futures fnals this year with two titles for Oli and one for Slabba.
If Oli wins here that already should get him into the top 450 in the post US Open rankings with 18 points here and 2 from last week. I recall he said early in the year that he felt WR 350 was a reasonable year end target, and I thought indeed it was. He's going in the direction whether he quite makes that or not.
Really good to see Slabba getting such better results again and if instead he comes out the winner the 18 points should at least get him back into the top 600 with hopefully much much more to come.
