Tara has 24 points so far. Another two wins would be worth an additional 40. No-one left in Tara's half is ranked inside 250. Highest seems to be 296 though a few talented youngsters.
I noticed that too. Really is a great chance to amass points. I think she'll already be a new career high with what she's achieved already this week, but it could become her strongest career week - here's hoping.
I see no reason why she can't win again. Of her two possible next round opponents:
Tadeja Majeric - hasn't beaten anyone inside the top 300 since January - and has only beaten one player in the top 400 in that time (315 - June, Karshi)
So, a pretty good chance I think. Go on Tara!
The thing is, over on the Tadeja Majeric messageboard (sorry I don't have the URL at present), they will be checking Tara Moore's activity on the WTA site, noticing that she hasn't done much this year apart from a surprisingly one-sided win over Iveta Benesova at Birmingham, then posting "Takze, celkom dobrá sanca, myslím. pokracovat Tadeja!"
(Apologies: Activeboard doesn't seem to be a natural Slovak speaker so rather makes a mess of it!)

A fair enough point.
Tara has beaten 3 Top 300, and an additional 1 top 400 this year, from 11 tournaments.
Tadeja's slimmer return has come from 14 events.
The ostensible similarity makes things about even to my mind, which is a "pretty good chance". Deliberately not stated as, "a great chance".
It's not as though Tadeja is coming in to it on a hot run of form and shooting (back) up the rankings; regularly beating players ranked above her. Then I would class it as a slight chance.
We'll find out tomorrow
Edit: NB: Majeric is Slovenian (SLO), not Slovakian (SVK)

Ilona Kremen - has beaten 1 top 200 and 2 top 300 players this year (Feb, June, July, respectively) - but only ever on clay, on which she plays almost all her tennis. Kazan is only her third non-clay event of the year. ON hard courts, her best victory is 418.
That is a fantastic effort from Tara. I have not watched her play since "chubby-gate" at Wimbledon Vs Laura 2 or 3 years ago but she has always impressed me with her power and hand skills. Hopefully she going to catch Heather and Laura soon.
