Activeboard seems to be a real mess at the moment - every other time I click on a topic I get a page not found error. Hopefully it's only temporary.

yes i've been having all sorts of problems too, i've tended to find that hitting refresh allows the page to load though this is still a bit hit and miss and very annoying!!

Activeboard is driving me completely nuts! Now, not only do I get "failed to connect" message every time I try to load a page, but once I get there, I can't get out again! The links at the top of the page are just not working for me, I'm having to reload the forum again to change pages. angered.gif

Edit - oh, the link just worked that time. Then the next time I tried, it didn't. . .

It's really awful at the moment, and it's not just getting page unavailable errors 1/3 to 1/2 the time, weird things are happening too. e.g. I posted Monday's pick 'em report last night, and it seemed to work at the third attempt, but the next time I looked at the thread it had gone. I then copied it from another board and went in again but when I switched into advanced editor, it showed the post already there (so it was obviously in the activeboard system somewhere!), so I didn't re-post but then found it wasn't there when I went into the thread normally. I did re-post in the end and it seems to only appear once, but whether that's the first attempt or the re-post, I haven't a clue!

There's nothing on the activeboard/sparklit site about problems (they probably don't make them obvious so as not to put off potential new users) but even their home page has given me one page not found error today. With luck that makes it more likely that they're trying to put it right as fast as possible!

Tip: If you're posting, Ctrl-C your post before hitting the Post button just in case ... better than losing what you;ve written completely.

I see Sheddie has not been on the board for a couple of weeks, maybe he is away on holiday. I have sent him an email in the hopes that he can stir up Activeboard to do something about the problems (I just hope he hasn't changed his email address since I last emailed him!) As far as I know he is the only administrator of the board.

Interesting... I haven't experienced any problems on the website at all - the only problem I had was trying to post something on the main website, but that was because I accidentally disconnected the wireless adapter, but had saved it beforehand.
