It's been a bit like Groundhog day watching these mixed doubles matches, but it has made for exciting viewing and even more satisfying to win after it gets so close.
Andy now has the chance to win double Olympic gold which would be phenomenal and for Laura just winning a medal is amazing, certainly her career highlight so far
(at 18:04) Andy Murray speaking to Jonathan Overend on BBC Radio 5 live after his win in the mixed doubles:
"There were some nerves there, but we played really good stuff. We deserved to win that match and I'm really happy we did. If it had gone the other way, it would have been a really disappointing end to the day."
(10 minutes later): Britain's Andy Murray after reaching the mixed doubles final with Laura Robson: "I told her to take her time and when we won the point to go up 8-6, I said some words she's probably not heard before! It was an emotional end to the match, but she served great and gave the chance to take control of the net, which is what we needed to do.
It's been different to what I normally do, but I've enjoyed the whole event and tomorrow is pretty much the perfect end to the tournament for me and I'll try to win both."
Also Andy might have expected to get a medal, whereas Laura wouldn't have expected one in her wildest dreams. This partnership wouldn't have happened if Andy had won a couple of matches with Jamie.
