Great fighting by Jade to post a W in 3 sets. Lisa was a right teenager, she had strops about Jade pointing when the ball was out, when she was doing the exact same thing. Also had a go at the umpire when she thought a shot was in on Jade's baseline when it was about a foot out.
Good on Jade for keeping her head, and good luck tomorrow!

Lisa has always been feisty but it's a shame if she was being a bit of a drama queen. I guess we can at least infer that she is still passionate about her tennis... Similarly I'm encouraged by Mel being here and moving through the rounds - after her disappointing results in the 2 25ks that she might tank out here.

Both the Japanese girls were really fit and moved Jade and Mel around. Bad news for Mel, she looked knackered after the first four games, and was lucky the match got moved inside due to the the rain or I suspect it wouldn't have gotten to a third set. Jade however is fit and was able to stay with her opponent, both were little rottweilers with Jade prevailing in the end.
Good luck tomorrow!

Jade won the first set 6-2 and served for the match at 6-5 in the second, only to be broken to 30. Jade led 6-2 in the tiebreak only to lose the next six points, so she will need mental strength to come back from that

She served for the second set twice, but there has been 12 breaks in a row.

Jade breaks the trend to HOLD!

3-2* A break would be good!

Gutted for Jade, she certainly had her chances. A few UEs against an opponent who was just sooo steady. Really sad as she set up so many winners and didn't take them
