Anne justified her WC with her best performance for months. Good for Elena to bag the win. Shocked to hear about her injury. I'd love for her to come back afterwards, but if she feels it's time to call it a day then I'd still give her my complete respect. She has battled through so much and always left everything on the court.

Elena played the best tennis I have seen from her in a long time today, same with Anne. The difference being Caro was able to step it up.

Wow. What horrible new about bally. However, this could work in her favour in an odd way. After the surgery I can just see her setting one last big challenger for herself of trying to get back into the top 100. It will be interesting to follow her progress

there are many thirty somethings in the top hundred and cannot see why she cant be one of them. I dont think she will retire. you just know she will be up for the fight
