Heather saved three BP's, then served a DF where the 2nd serve bounced before the net(!), to set up a fourth BP which Kirilenko took in part with the help of a net chord.

This match is a complete contrast to laura's, with both players waiting for the other to take the initiative in rallies, leading to quite a few long points. Heather just making slightly more errors at the moment but it's a close match.

Overall a really positive tournament for all our girls, just a shame Heather could find her best tennis in the last match, but as with her match against Radwanska Heather does find it tough against top players who make very few errors.

I think it may have been overlooked that the win for Laura elevated her to a new career high ranking of 89 this week.
