Haas seems to have taken voodoo lessons as he is winning matches by some really poor play by his opponents. All he needs is to serve and on the opponent serve to put ball back in play. Simon had set and break lead, failed to win, Mayer and Cilic were non-existent. Against such great clay player as Monaco who just have won against Almagro, being a set down, I dont think it will be enough. I do think Haas will try to make it competitive, but one of the best specialists in the game on this surface is too much, even with his new-found ability to hypnotize opponents into errors. Monaco can get closer to top 10 with a win here, so I doubt he will be prone to being hypnotized. Monaco leads h2h 3-1 in the last 2 meetings he has lost the opening set in TB. It might be a case this time as well. Both has not won title in Germany on clay, so this could be an epic here. Maybe Monaco will be hypnotized too? Who knows.
Unless you're a German or an Argentine tennis fan, who cares? This is a site for British tennis fans!
You didn't even bother to point out that the two players were due to contest the German Open final in Hamburg in which Mónaco (3) defeated Haas (WC) by 5 & 4.

Well some of us do follow international tennis! Obviously the thread should have been in "General Tennis Discussion", but you can hardly expect a new member to know that.
I doubt we'd ever want to insist on every single post having to be directly related to GB tennis, but if you look at this guy's 4 posts http://britishtennis.activeboard.com/m1577278/posts/, they are all completely off-topic for a British tennis board and I get the impression they are being pasted into lots of different forums and might be trying to get people to place bets, so I'm inclined to delete them in future and/or put a ban on.
Any comments? (either that you think the same or that you think I've misunderstood or I'm being unfair)

Thank you, Steven. I'm happy to accept that newcomers to the board may not "get" its main purpose in life & therefore that they need to be made aware of it, but I had my doubts about this character after seeing his/its post about the Sock/Johnson R2 singles match on the BB&T Atlanta doubles thread (& both US players anyway), so I just snapped when I saw this one, hence the initial response!
Well, I'm just back from holiday and hadn't seen the earlier posts, so the response seemed harsh, but having seen the later posts it certainly seems that there is something very odd about this opening post. I don't get how it would be trying to get people to place bets, though. There is no link to another site - which would have made me suspicious too.

Spambots are increasing sophisticated and subtle. Frequently they do not provide links as this provokes suspicion.
