Why the bleh? It was impossible to avoid meeting a seed in QR2 and getting the 13th seed isn't too bad, especially when Bestha's Futures main draw record consists of a 3-set win against an unranked 15-year-old from Burundi (that's how he got his ranking point) in Burundi F1 last year and 3 straight sets losses in which he has won a total of just 11 games.

I like this background info better than last week! The problem tomorrow will be having to back up 2 matches within a couple of hours of each other to qualify. The weather is typically brutal- hot and unbelievably humid.

Yes, good luck with that - I was hoping when I saw SC's first post that it might be just 2 rounds of qualifying and you'd got an Alt instead of a top 8 seed in QR1!

Bad luck ... but at least you had a go (lots of respect for someone still making the effort to follow a dream like that) and I hope you feel better soon.

Sometimes the score doesn't tell an accurate story. Was up 6-1,5-2 and serving when pretty bad dehydration suddenly hit me. Knew I was in trouble and couldn't bluff my way through- lost 5 games in a row. Now lying in a Chennai hotel room trying not to cramp. A great way to spend my holidays.

Sorry to here that gh, wish you the best for your recovery. Just great that you can take part in these but gutting you didn't make the 1st round proper.

Thanks. Not qualifying from that position feels a lot worse than dehydration. Next week is world ranking only for qualifying- when did India become so hard? Off to a small UAE money tournament instead.
