Brilliant from boggo, was going to say before the match that I felt this one would be very important to him in terms of whether he thinks he could make it back to his best, goes to show what wins can do for him!

Well, if anyone was doubting the wisdom of playing those 10K Futures to get back in the swing of it and build up some confidence (I'm not sure any of us were, but still!), it certainly seems to have paid off big time today - that really is a cracking win biggrin biggrin

Next up Michael Yani (USA) WR 261 (CH 143 in 2010) with the winner to meet Jamie B or Ryan Harrison's little brother in the QFs.

Michael Yani next. A winnable game against a player with not a great deal of form. A quarter final appearance would give him another 15 points and a potential meeting with Jamie Baker.

top 4 seeds have gone here too!  Rhyne Williams just taken out top seed Dudi Sela.  So the only 2 seeds in Boggo's half are Jamie (6) and Ginepri (5 WC).

Harrison served for the first set at 5-4, Jamie saved 3 set points and after a great point turning defence into attack and coming to the net to finish the point off he broke for 5-5 and then he holds to love for 6-5*.

Nice pass to set up break point then aggressive forehand gets him the break. Jamie standing a long way back to return 2nd serves some of the time.

Attacks the net to volley a winner to hold for 3-1*

Another break for Jamie as Harrison's drop shot + lob combination needs fine-tuning and then his backhand pass flies long. *4-1

Harrison's bh is miles long on bp after Baker's poor backhand had given him the opportunity. Jamie then holds 5-1*

3-6 4-6 I thought Yani was impressive. Boggo perhaps needed to do more on 2nd serve return but overall he wasn't that bad.

Jamie's match against Harrison junior is to start after the completion of the match before (currently 4-3 in the 3rd) with Boggo v Yani match the feature match NB 22:30 BST (probably a bit later).

Both matches as well as Jamie's first doubles match will be on bet365 etc etc.

Commentator has announced we've got Ryan Harrison taking on Brian Baker.

As the score goes, Jamie's just saved 3 points on the Harrison serve and levelled at 5-5 first set.

Hopefully Jamie's experience against Roddick should serve him well in this match.
