L32: (WC) Laura Robson WR 113 v (3) Anabel Medina Garrigues WR 26 (CH 16 in 2009)

H2H 0-2, both at slams - 2 & 3 at last year's US Open and 2 & 1 at this year's RG. A very tough draw!

I think, if Laura's match wasn't till Tuesday she would have a very good chance in this one. Monday is really too soon after last nights ordeal.

Normal service resumed for Laura in terms of getting a tough draw. Even after last week I'm not expecting Laura to win this but would hope for her to make the score much closer than previous matches against AMG.

AMG is not playing well at the moment, but I also agree that a much tighter scoreline but still a loss is probably the likely scenario assuming Laura has recovered sufficiently.

Not much rest then, conditions will be the complete opposite of last week, which may not be in her favour. Cool, damp and windy ( in fact the weather forecast suggests alot of rain, but it has been wrong for the qualifying days so who knows). I think Laura prefers fast clay court conditions, also able to slide easier if the clay is dry.
According to Bet365's livestreaming schedule they are covering Bastad from 10 tomorrow morning so you would have thought that that would be the centre court.

Fair enough to laugh at the Swedish pronunciation of Medina Garrigues ... but I'm pretty sure (for obvious reasons) that the Swedish interviewer pronounced Borås right, but that got an even bigger giggle! biggrin

I knew what å sounds like in Swedish because I spent a day in Båstad many moons ago - it's a disappointment to every young English visitor that it is pronounced 'or' not 'ar'!

I just think generally she was loving the accent. Had a grin at the corner of her mouth throughout the interview!
