What's so good is that now when Heather is playing anyone outside the top 100 I wouldn't expect anything less. She can be relied upon to play to a good standard pretty much every time at the moment and that was always going to be good enough today.
She is getting delightfully dependable! Heather has a very quick turn-around, and will be back on court for her doubles match straight after the Wickmayer match currently on court; which stands at 2-2 in Set 1 right now.
Looks like a solid performance from Hev, not quite as easy as the scoreline suggests, but no major panics either. If Wickmayer plays like she did against Vandeweghe I smell a bit of revenge and she's not having all her own way on court at the moment.
Heather's only been off court about 80 minutes. What's the minimum rest period she has to have before she's compelled to play her doubles? Is there even one?

It's usually 90 minutes but don't quote me on it. They can also go straight on after singles without rest if they so wish.
Heather has now picked up more than 500 WTA points in the 2 months since the start of Roland Garros and has picked up more than 70% more points since the start of 2012 than any other Brit. It's going to take a massive effort by one of the others to stop her being GB no. 1 at the end of the year.
