L32: Heather Watson WR 79 v Eleni Daniilidou (GRE) WR 111 (CH 14 in 2003) L32: Anne Keothavong WR 75 v Marina Erakovic (NZL) WR 50 (CH 39 in May)
In both cases, H2Hs are 1-1 with the Brit having won the last meeting.
By a twist of fate, for the 2nd week running, the winner of Hev's match will probably face Wickmayer in R2 and the winner of Anne's match is due to play the 2nd seed, though this time the 2nd seed is Cibulkova, not Bartoli.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
I can't see any problems for Heather in the first round unless her form drops off a lot from the past week. Anne obviously needs to step it up a lot from last week's effort to win.
Also find it ironic that Laura's playing a lower ranked tournaments but having to play higher WRs.
Yes with the Olympics, alot of top players have decided against making the trip stateside this year resulting in a severely weakened field, and big opportunities to gain big points.
I have got the impression in the past that Daniilidou is pretty unpredictable and every so often produces performances more akin to her previous heights ( WR 14 in 2003, still WR 43 y/e 2007 ). This year, although she has beaten a few top 100 players, she is currently on a 12 match losing streak, going back to April.
Hopefully our new GB No 1 will make that 13.

Anne's doubles match (Chang/Lertcheewakarn vs. Keothavong/Pegula) is fourth and last of the morning session, and so likely to be "in the wee small hours of the morning...".
Morning Session starts at 19:00 our time, the Evening Session starts 05:00 tomorrow, so I expect she'll get on sometime between 00:00 and 02:00? Hopefully she can get some confidence with a good win, before her singles to help her forget last week.

R1: Janette Husarova (SVK) & Heather Watson vs [wait for it!] (4) Natalie Grandin & Vladimira Uhlirova (RSA/CZE)
The winners of those two matches play one another in the QF...
