Good points haul for Daneika so far, starting to fill the gap behind Lucy Brown on the top 25 table!

Yes, Daneika is having a great week  - unfortunately though, like Samantha Vickers over the last 12 months, she's not going to be able to take full advantage in ranking terms because she's going to be back at FSU after the summer playing college matches and not getting any more WTA points.

Having said that, her results this week do suggest her first year at FSU may have done her a fair bit of good!

Thanks to Miriambee and insomniacfolder.

I have heard that Sarah loves to play in the UK.
Now I make a joke I've ever done here: The difference between GBR and GER is only 1 letter:

Heh!

Well, that and the small matter of 29 Grand Slam titles, 3 Davis Cups and 2 Fed Cups since GBR won a single one of any of those!

Hey!

What I meant has nothing to do with any sports,

just  the personal feeling in a country where we feel good.

I make it that reaching the SFs will move Tara to 174 ranking points on Monday week ( after actually going backwards next Monday ) and looking at current rankings that could sneak her into the top 300 for the first time smile

Certainly going to move up ( past Mel ) to GB no 7.

Such a pity she has in recent years only really got going in the second half of the year, and her ranking has been held back by for whatever reasons not managing much in the first few months each year.

Given the points she scored in the last few months of last year, she will do fairly well to keep herself in the top 300 by this year end. But I do think in the longer term she is capable of reaching and staying in the top 250 at least.
