Eleanor Dean is joined by 5 British boys for the week's premier junior event. Victory for Jonny O'Mara would probably see him face top seed and world number 19 Daniel Masur
Boys R1 (L64)
Jonny O'Mara (GBR) v Thien Nguyen Hoang (VIE)
(Q) Joshua Sapwell (GBR) v (16E) Matej Maruscak (SVK)

Jonny O'Mara (GBR) d. Thien Nguyen Hoang (VIE) 6-3 7-6(4) (16E) Matej Maruscak (SVK) d. (Q) Joshua Sapwell (GBR) 6-1 7-6(4) Paul Woerner (GER) d. Billy Harris (GBR) 6-3 3-6 6-3 (7) Kevin Kaczynski (GER) d. (Q) Callum Poland-Smith (GBR) 6-3 6-3 Peter Ashley (GBR) d. Daniel Baumann (GER) 7-6(2) 6-1
R2
(1) Daniel Masur (GER) v Jonny O'Mara (GBR) (16) Tomas Papik (CZE) v Peter Ashley (GBR)
There will be livescores from tomorrow on the four main courts - with Jonny's match certain to be one of them.
A comfortable start for Eleanor, and her second round opponent has an equally modest record. Incidentally the German girl who Maia Lumsden beat in the European Summer Cup final is just above Eleanor in the draw, and she beat someone ranked just outside the top 100
Girls R1 (L64)
(7) Eleanor Dean (GBR) d. Julia Mikulski (GER) 6-4 6-3
A minor upset by Peter, shrugging off the loss of 3 matchpoints in the second set, gives him a crack at one of the many Belgians currently doing well. Eleanor makes smooth, if expected, progress, and has a tougher match next against a player with a high win/loss ratio
Boys R2
(1) Daniel Masur (GER) d. Jonny O'Mara (GBR) 6-1 6-2 Peter Ashley (GBR) d. (16) Tomas Papik (CZE) 6-3 6-7(8) 6-4
R3
Peter Ashley (GBR) v (2) Jeroen Vanneste (BEL)
Girls R2
(7) Eleanor Dean (GBR) d. Nikola Tomanova (CZE) 6-2 6-2
Eleanor gets her best win of the week, seemingly untroubled despite not serving any aces today. Her reward is a match against top seed and occasional doubles partner (not this week) Antonia Lottner. They played twice last year, with the German winning in 3 sets. However Lottner has improved dramatically of late, with a Grade 1 final in France followed by the final of the Milan Grade A and semifinal at Roland Garros. At Wimbledon she lost to eventual winner Eugenie Bouchard in the quarters.
Girls R3
(7) Eleanor Dean (GBR) d. Dea Herdzelas (BIH) 6-4 6-2
